We study photodissociation and photocatalytic synthesis mechanisms by various ultrafast spectroscopic techniques, including pump-probe transient absorption and photoion/photoelectron imaging. The acquired transient intermediates, excited-state lifetimes, and product energy distributions help understand the underlying photophysics and photochemistry.
